Shannon found herself without a place to lay her head and her two children at some point in her life. That's when she decided to go to The Salvation Army of Greater Houston.
"The First Night At The Salvation Army Was Interesting. They Even Had A Birthday Gift For My Daughter."
After months of fighting against homelessness as a single mother, Shannon found a place to rest and realign her life to get back on her feet and provide a stable home for her family.
"At First, I Was Skeptical About The Day One Program, But I'm Glad I Took That First Step."
Today, Shannon is working her way to self-sustainability and step-by-step building the foundation for an independent life for herself and her family.
Our programs are designed to help break the chains of intergenerational poverty, and Shannon is a clear example of the success that we see among our clients.
