SAWA Continues to Strengthen The Salvation Army's Mission Across Greater Houston
The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary (SAWA) recently gathered for its annual grant meeting, bringing together dedicated executive members to thoughtfully review requests and allocate funding to programs that serve individuals and families throughout Greater Houston.
The meeting highlighted the tremendous impact SAWA has on advancing The Salvation Army's mission. Through careful stewardship and a shared commitment to serving others, Auxiliary executives deliberated on funding opportunities that will support a wide range of life-changing programs and services. Beneficiaries include our 6 Red Shield Youth Centers, veterans' programs, the Jones Family Residence, Corps ministries, administrative support services, and many other initiatives that provide hope and assistance to those in need.
For decades, SAWA has been a steadfast partner and pillar of support for The Salvation Army Houston Throughout the year, members dedicate countless hours to planning and executing fundraising events, cultivating donor relationships, and advocating for the organization's mission. Their efforts help ensure that critical programs remain strong and responsive to the growing needs of the community.
A significant contributor to these efforts is the Reflections on Style (ROS) luncheon and fashion show, which continues to be one of SAWA's most successful fundraising initiatives. Year after year, ROS raises millions of dollars that directly support The Salvation Army's programs and services, making a lasting difference in the lives of children, families, seniors, veterans, and individuals facing crisis.
The grant meeting served as a powerful reminder that every dollar raised and every volunteer hour invested translates into real impact for our neighbors in need. We are deeply grateful for the leadership, generosity, and unwavering dedication of the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary.
