The 2026 SAWA Spring Tea Event was a beautiful and inspiring gathering, bringing together members of the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary (SAWA) for a time of connection, celebration, and forward vision. The event highlighted the strength of community and the shared commitment to service that continues to define SAWA’s impact across Greater Houston.
Throughout the program, members had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions and were introduced to emerging leaders who will help guide SAWA into the future. The event also featured remarks from Majors Winters, who shared powerful insights on the impact of SAWA’s support at the Pasadena Corps, emphasizing how the Auxiliary’s dedication continues to uplift individuals, seniors and families in need.
One of the most memorable moments of the day came as SAWA members took to the spotlight, serving as models and showcasing elegant pieces that will be featured at the upcoming Reflections on Style event. Their participation not only highlighted the beauty and purpose behind the Chic Boutique collections but also demonstrated the heart and enthusiasm that members bring to every initiative.
The Houston Area Commanders, Captains Walker delivered an uplifting message, offering words of encouragement and expressing deep appreciation for the unwavering commitment of SAWA members. Their message served as a reminder of the vital role SAWA plays in advancing The Salvation Army’s mission through service, generosity, and leadership.
The Spring Tea was more than a gathering, it was a celebration of impact, a reflection of shared purpose, and a preview of the exciting work ahead. As anticipation builds for Reflections on Style, SAWA continues to lead with grace, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
