The Salvation Army of Greater Houston recently participated in multiple community open house meetings hosted by CenterPoint Energy.

Major Carolynn Webb and Kimberly Gerrard represented The Salvation Army at these events, where they had the opportunity to engage with June Deadrick, Vice President of Community Relations at CenterPoint, and the company's CEO, Jason Wells.

This gathering was more than just a meet-and-greet, it was a pivotal moment for discussing disaster preparedness and fostering collaboration to enhance the safety and resilience of Greater Houston.

In turn, the Salvation Army highlighted its extensive on-the-ground experience in providing immediate relief and long-term recovery assistance in the aftermath of disasters.

Major Carolynn emphasized the importance of having a coordinated effort between organizations like The Salvation Army and key community partners such as CenterPoint. By working together, we can ensure that Houston not only responds effectively to disasters but also recovers and rebuilds stronger than before.

The open house meetings were incredible opportunities to strengthen ties between The Salvation Army and CenterPoint Energy. This collaboration underscores our shared commitment to building a safer, more resilient community, where every resident can feel confident in the face of potential disasters.

Together, we are laying the groundwork for a future where preparedness, and recovery are at the forefront of our community's efforts.
