BRITTNEY'S STORY – A PERSEVERING MOTHER

Jun 14, 2022

Before the year ends, we want to share the story of a persevering mother. Brittney came to Houston after fleeing domestic violence in Louisville, Kentucky. With her two children and hope in her heart, she fights to have a more stable future for her family.

Growing up, Brittney did not have an example of a stable home. Her father was not present, and her mother was undiagnosed with mental health concerns. In the process of reclaiming custody of her third child, she is now in Houston, trying to find more opportunities.

"I know my kids deserve better, and I want to do for them the best that I can," says Brittney. "It hasn't been easy; Lord knows it hasn't been easy, but I have faith. Faith that things will get better."

Brittney's story is not over, and she continues to overcome challenges.
