Big Wins for Our Houston Red Shield Youth Centers!
The Salvation Army of Greater Houston is proud to share some exciting news from the Red Shield Youth Centers Training held in San Antonio!
Our six Houston Red Shield Youth Centers showed up strong and came home with several well-deserved awards recognizing their dedication to youth development and community impact.
We Received three Awards for Outstanding Attendance, one Award for Sports & Fitness, one Award for Education & Career Development, one Award for Safety Impact.
These awards celebrate the hard work of our staff, volunteers, and youth who make each center a safe, inspiring, and empowering place for young people to grow.
In addition to these honors, we’re excited to share that the Taco Bell Foundation generously provided new equipment and curriculum to help strengthen our programs!
The Aldine Westfield Red Shield Youth Center received podcast equipment and curriculum, encouraging youth creativity and self-expression.
Each of our six centers also received iPads to support career development, job searches, and training opportunities for our young members.
We’re grateful for these resources that will help our centers continue their mission of guiding youth toward brighter futures through education, mentorship, and faith.
