A Legacy of Service: Honoring Mr. Mosbacher Jr.
The Salvation Army is proud to recognize Mr. Mosbacher Jr., whose decades-long commitment to service exemplifies what it truly means to lead with heart and purpose. His dedication has left a lasting impact on our organization and continues to inspire those around him.
Mr. Mosbacher Jr. faithfully served on The Salvation Army Board from 1991 to 2005, including his time as Board Chair from 1999 to 2001. During those years, he helped guide the mission with vision, leadership, and a deep commitment to serving those most in need. His influence extended beyond strategy and governance it was rooted in action.
For more than 30 years, Mr. Mosbacher Jr. has also been a devoted Red Kettle bell ringer, returning year after year to stand outside stores and invite the community to give. This season, he once again answered the call, ringing bells for two days. Through rain or shine, his presence and dedication served as a powerful reminder that lasting change begins with showing up.
Mr. Mosbacher Jr.’s story reflects the heart of volunteerism, consistent, humble, and driven by compassion. His service reminds us that leadership does not end when a term concludes; it continues through everyday acts of generosity that uplift others.
We hope his example encourages others to get involved whether by volunteering, ringing bells, or supporting The Salvation Army’s mission in meaningful ways. One person’s commitment can inspire a community, and together, we can continue Doing the Most Good.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)
