A 3-Day Event of Opportunity and Support to Empower our Veterans
The Salvation Army of Greater Houston recently hosted a powerful 3-day event dedicated to empowering veterans with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive.
The event featured expert-led job readiness workshops, a comprehensive Resource Expo, and a Veteran Employment Fair connecting participants directly with employers, many of whom offered on-the-spot hires.
We were honored to have trained professionals and trusted vendors on-site; all committed to supporting those who’ve selflessly served our country.
A special thank you goes to Kuts for Christ, who provided free haircuts and spiritual encouragement, helping our veterans feel confident and interview ready. This event was made possible through the collaboration of over 50 dedicated partners, including: Acadian Ambulance, Bechtel, BWC Terminals, Labor Finders, Fastenal, International Cooling Tower, LaneStaffing, Texas Department of Public Safety, The Rose, Metro Transit, Cotton Holdings, VA, U.S. VETS, Combined Arms, NPower, and so many more.
To every vendor, employer, and partner who showed up and showed out for our heroes, we say Thank You! your presence made an impact that will last well beyond these three days. Together, we are opening doors and creating pathways to hope and independence.
