Captains Nick and Michelle Hutchinson

Captains Nick and Michelle Hutchinson can both trace their family history back five generations in The Salvation Army. Captain Michelle grew up in southern California and Captain Nick grew up in Maine. The two met at a Salvation Army missions program in Vancouver, British Columbia in 2003. In 2006 they married and in 2008 they relocated to Texas.

They answered God’s call to become Salvation Army officers and entered Evangeline Booth College in Atlanta, GA in 2011. They were commissioned as officers in 2013 as part of the Proclaimers of the Resurrection session. They have served faithfully along with their 3 children in Paris, Texas and Longview, Texas prior to their appointment to Houston Northwest in 2022.

Both Captains are excited about what God has in store for their time in Houston and invite you to join them in mission and ministry.
