Rehabilitation Facilities

The Harbor Light Center and the Adult Rehabilitation Center are two of The Salvation Army’s rehabilitation facilities – help adult men overcome their addictions to drugs and/or alcohol, and provide them a transition out of homelessness. Each night in Houston at least 600 homeless people find shelter at one of The Salvation Army’s facilities.

In downtown Houston, Sally’s House (originally named after the slang word for The Salvation Army in the homeless communities throughout Houston) offers a transitional program for adult single women who are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol, and who are living on the streets.

During inclement weather, the Harbor Light Center opens its doors to all transients and does not refuse anyone. Because of the generous donations from our community all these programs and services are offered completely free of charge.
