Rafael Sarango is Honoree at Comcast’s 2016 Hispanic Hero Awards Gala

Comcast Hispanic Hero Awards

On Wednesday, September 14, Rafael Sarango, The Salvation Army’s Young Adult Resource Center Program Manager, will be one of ten community volunteers to be recognized for their efforts at the Comcast Hispanic Hero Awards Gala at the Houstonian. The event will pay tribute to these outstanding individuals for their commitment to making a difference in the community through volunteerism, mentorship, advocacy or civic engagement.

Sarango also Recipient of National Award

Sarango also helped raise awareness of our Young Adult Resource Center (YARC) program when he received a Jefferson Award through Telemundo and won one of five national Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Awards for Outstanding Service Benefiting Local Communities at the National Jefferson Awards Ceremony Gala in Washington D.C.

In addition to being recognized during the gala, Sarango will also be featured in a 30-second public service announcement and YARC will receive a $1,000 donation.
