Harbor Light Center

The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center and Red Shield Lodge provides a comprehensive response to the increasing needs of Houston’s homeless and addicted men. Each individual is offered access to immediate and long-term shelter, medical screening and referral, and a spiritual approach to recovery and self-sufficiency.

The Harbor Light Center is the long-term drug and alcohol recovery program. This recovery program allows men experiencing homelessness to live at the Center while addressing the issues that led to their addiction.

The Red Shield Lodge is the homeless emergency shelter where immediate needs such as meals, hygiene and a safe place to sleep are met. Men who are staying at the Lodge have the opportunity to to enroll in the Recovery Program.

The Veterans Residential Treatment Program is available for veterans experiencing homelessness who are referred by the VA.
