Case Support Specialist – FT

Assists professional staff in non-technical services by providing practical support to assist Case Management staff in completion of routine clerical, database, and housing-related tasks which may include assisting with conducting home visits related to housing case management; makes reports; performs routine clerical and related tasks as assigned.

Case Management Specialist – FT

Interviews, accepts, and provides comprehensive, long-term, structured, complex, case management services for an assigned caseload of clients participating in an established housing stability; understands the uniqueness of the client’s history in order to determine most effective program plans; develops comprehensive program plan/goals and evaluates client’s progress by conducting mentoring sessions with client and/or staff; serves as advocate for client in order to acquire services that will enable them to functionally cope with their environment; ensures constant compliance with funding requirements.

Shelter Monitor – FT

Assists residents staying in the shelter; perform client intake procedures and prepares client intake records; monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security and compliance to house rules; maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information; ensure that facility is maintained in a neat and proper order.

Housekeeper – FT

Performs a variety of housekeeping and laundry duties for a social service resident facility; cleans rooms; the neatness and cleanliness of the resident facility on a daily basis.

Computer Instructor – PT

Provides participants opportunity to develop social skills, interaction with others, learn teamwork and discipline; provides computer literacy training to clients of The Salvation Army Family Residence in order to enhance their job skills and opportunities.

Housing Navigator – FT (Two Positions Available)

The Housing Navigator is responsible for working closely with the case management team in order to assist individuals and families participating in the Houston Area Command’s housing program; assists individuals and families with Securing Affordable Safe Sustainable housing opportunities; provides guidance and direct assistance to individuals and families with utilizing housing resources, housing opportunities as it relates to past/present barriers, budgeting, and others that are deemed necessary; networks, maintains and cultivates relationships with landlords, private and non-profits, and potential community partners that want to provide housing opportunities to The Salvation Army housing program participants.

Aldine Westfield Corps Community Center

Office Manager/ Bookkeeper – FT

Performs a combination of administrative and bookkeeping tasks for a local unit; applies fundamental bookkeeping knowledge and skills to varied bookkeeping tasks such as posting, checking entries, issuing checks, balancing accounts, and preparing financial reports for assigned accounts; prepares and maintains financial records in an accurate, complete, and timely manner; ensures the accomplishment of the various office tasks in the most efficient and effective manner possible; prepares various routine and special reports to keep the Officers abreast of progress; ensures office operations are in compliance with established departmental policies and procedures; completes all human resources functions for Corps; ensures all reports relating to the day-to-day operations are delivered in a timely manner to Houston Area Command, prepares and submits all requisitions to HAC for approval of purchases of equipment, furniture, and supplies as per The Salvation Army Minutes.

Program Aide – PT 

Primary Functions: Leads children’s activities at an after school program, including classroom training, tutoring, sports activities, bible study, computer programs, and specialized programs; prepares and serves children lunch and snacks; assists in leading field trips; maintains the cleanliness of the after school area; transports passengers in a Salvation Army vehicle.

Facilities Maintenance Supervisor – FT

Job Summary: Plans, schedules, supervises, and performs the day-to-day general maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and equipment; ensures all equipment remains in proper working order and compliance with standard operating procedures and safety standards; performs a variety of skilled maintenance work for buildings and grounds, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work as well as routine maintenance and repairs.
