Salvation Army Houston Area Command

Grants Manager – FT

Ensures that the departmental fundraising goal is met for the fiscal year as determined by the annual Operating budget accomplished through planning and monitoring of team results; plans, develops, and manages the Grants process within the Fund Development Department; oversees and coordinates funding from corporate, and private institutions/foundations; facilitates research, development, review and writing of grant proposals; monitors project tasks and conducts research for potential funding sources; maintains various databases and prepares technical and financial reports.

Salvation Army’s Social Services

Case Support Specialist – FT

Assists professional staff in non-technical services by providing practical support to assist Case Management staff in completion of routine clerical, database, and housing-related tasks which may include assisting with conducting home visits related to housing case management; makes reports; performs routine clerical and related tasks as assigned.

Case Management Specialist – FT

Interviews, accepts, and provides comprehensive, long-term, structured, complex, case management services for an assigned caseload of clients participating in an established housing stability; understands the uniqueness of the client’s history in order to determine most effective program plans; develops comprehensive program plan/goals and evaluates client’s progress by conducting mentoring sessions with client and/or staff; serves as advocate for client in order to acquire services that will enable them to functionally cope with their environment; ensures constant compliance with funding requirements.

Shelter Monitor – FT

Assists residents staying in the shelter; perform client intake procedures and prepares client intake records; monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security and compliance to house rules; maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information; ensure that facility is maintained in a neat and proper order.

Director of Booth Garden Apartments  – FT

Job Summary: Plans, directs, coordinates, supervises and monitors the day-to-day operation of the HUD Booth Garden Apartments for the elderly and disabled by observing and scheduling maintenance and repairs of the apartment complex including buildings, grounds, tenant units and all other facilities; supervises employees and conducts training sessions as needed; supervises, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates all accounting functions; prepares and monitors program expenditures in compliance with program budget control systems.
