Area Command (Administrative Office)

 

Accounts Payable Clerk – FT

Job Summary: Performs daily duties of the Accounts Payable Department by insuring all processing is completed in a timely, accurate and efficient manner, including payments to vendors, responses to department or vendor questions, and all other transactions.

Must have two years progressively responsible experience working in a general office with some accounting responsibilities and Microsoft Business Solutions (Great Plains) Experience (required).

Social Services

Qualitative Research and Evaluation Manager – FT

Primary Functions: Conducts program evaluation activities and reviews the same for all Houston Area Command units through use of HMIS data; oversees assigned staff and volunteers; uses evidence- based knowledge and skills to determine strengths and weaknesses in HAC wide HMIS data collection activities and monitoring of progress on program and services outcomes; develops statistical methodology; facilitates program evaluation project planning and strategic data analysis, exploring program and services effectiveness; prepares required funder reports and provides recommendations to improve program effectiveness; recommends program modifications, revisions and terminations based on analysis of outputs and outcome analysis, insuring effectiveness of Area Command programs and services; receives and compiles monthly statistics from all HMIS related programs.

The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club – Garden City Branch

Program Aide – PT

Plans, develops, coordinates and directs all youth activities and programs for the Boys & Girls Club; plans and coordinates fund-raising and recruitment events; recruits and supervises all assigned staff and volunteers; maintains all program equipment and resources; plans, coordinates and evaluates a portfolio of youth development programs to fulfill the Club’s mission and goals & to enhance participants’ optimal Club experience; represents the Club in the community and builds a professional and positive image of The Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club – Garden City Branch

Harbor Light Center

Case Management Specialist- FT

Primary Functions: Interviews, accepts, and provides comprehensive, long-term, structured, complex, case management services for an assigned caseload of clients participating in an established life management program; understands the uniqueness of the client’s history in order to determine most effective program plans; develops comprehensive program plan/goals and evaluates client’s progress by conducting mentoring and counseling sessions with client and/or staff; serves as advocate for client in order to acquire services that will enable them to functionally cope with their environment; ensures constant compliance with funding requirements.

Cook – PT

Primary Functions: Cooks and serves nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules; ensures all meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner; cleans kitchen facilities, equipment and appliances; maintains inventory of kitchen supplies and food in a neat and orderly manner.

Primary Functions: Performs a variety of routine repairs and maintenance work for buildings and grounds including minor heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work as well as routine maintenance and repairs.
