Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club – Aldine Westfield Branch

Boys & Girls Club Unit Director – FT

Primary Functions: Plans, develops, coordinates and directs all youth activities and programs for the Boys & Girls Club; plans and coordinates fund-raising and recruitment events; recruits and supervises all assigned staff and volunteers; maintains all program equipment and resources; plans, coordinates and evaluates a portfolio of youth development programs to fulfill the Club’s mission and goals & to enhance participants’ optimal Club experience; represents the Club in the community and builds a professional and positive image of The Salvation Army.

Front Counter Attendant – PT

Primary Functions: Under general supervision of the Boys & Girls Club Unit Director and Corps Officers, maintains the front counter area; signs up and checks in members; greets guests; answers the telephone; maintains a professional and organized appearance to members, parents, and visitors at the Club and over the phone; represents Boys & Girls Club in a positive professional manner.

Sally’s House

Emergency Shelter Monitor – PT

Assists residents staying in the shelter overnight; performs client intake procedures and prepares client intake records; monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security and compliance to house rules; ensures that facility is maintained in a neat and proper order. Schedule for this position is Saturdays from 6:00 p.m to 6:00 a.m and Sundays from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.

Family Residence

Shelter Monitor – PT 

Primary Functions: Assists residents staying in the Family Residence overnight; performs client intake procedures and prepares client intake records; monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security and compliance to house rules; maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information; ensures that facility is maintained in a neat and proper order.

Cook – FT (2 positions available) 

Primary Functions: Cooks and serves nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules; ensures all meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner; cleans kitchen facilities, equipment and appliances; maintains inventory of kitchen supplies and food in a neat and orderly manner.

Harbor Light Center

 

Lead Case Management Specialists – FT 

Primary Functions: Serves as lead worker to case management staff; interviews, accepts, and provides comprehensive, long-term, structured, complex, case management services for an assigned caseload of clients participating in an established life management program; understands the uniqueness of the client’s history in order to determine most effective program plans; develops comprehensive program plan/goals and evaluates client’s progress by conducting mentoring and counseling sessions with client and/or staff; serves as advocate for client in order to acquire services that will enable them to functionally cope with their environment; ensures constant compliance with funding requirements.

Maintenance Technician – FT

Primary Functions: Performs a variety of routine repairs and maintenance work for buildings and grounds including minor heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work as well as routine maintenance and repairs.

Program Aide – PT

Evangeline Booth Garden Apartments

Bookeeper – FT

Primary fuctions: Performs bookkeeping tasks for a local unit; applies fundamental bookkeeping knowledge and skills to varied bookkeeping tasks such as posting, checking entries, issuing checks, balancing accounts, and preparing financial reports for assigned accounts; prepares and maintains financial records in an accurate, complete, and timely manner.

Facilities Maintenance Supervisor – FT

Job Summary: Plans, schedules, supervises, and performs the day-to-day general maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and equipment; ensures all equipment remains in proper working order and compliance with standard operating procedures and safety standards; performs a variety of skilled maintenance work for buildings and grounds, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work as well as routine maintenance and repairs.
