Shelter Monitor – FT

Assists residents staying in the shelter; perform client intake procedures and prepares client intake records; monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security and compliance to house rules; maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information; ensure that facility is maintained in a neat and proper order.

Kitchen Assistant

Preps and serves nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules; ensures all meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner; cleans kitchen facilities, equipment, and appliances; maintains an inventory of kitchen supplies and food in a neat and orderly manner.

Custodian

Provides a variety of cleaning duties and maintains the building to ensure the upkeep, neatness, and cleanliness of the same on a daily basis.

Housekeeping Supervisor – FT

Supervises, participates, instructs, and monitors the day-to-day general housekeeping of the entire Center of Hope building; cleans rooms; maintains the neatness and cleanliness of the resident facility on a daily basis.

Mental Health Counselor

Provides assistance to the patrons/residents of the Center of Hope with personal and/or family concerns.  Conducts mental health assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, lead group/individual therapy sessions, conduct preventative mental wellness classes/workshops and make treatment referrals.

Case Management Supervisor

Plans, directs, and supervises the work of assigned staff; interviews, accepts, and provides comprehensive, long-term, structured, complex, case management services for an assigned caseload of clients participating in an established  life management program; understands the uniqueness of the client’s history in order to determine most effective program plans; develops comprehensive program plan/goals and evaluates client’s progress by conducting mentoring and counseling sessions with client and/or staff; serves as advocate for client in order to acquire services that will enable them to functionally cope with their environment; ensures constant compliance with funding requirements.

Client Services Manager – FT

Manages the delivery of direct client services provided by assigned Shelter staff; provides support to the Director in the supervision of the daily assigned program operations; ensures day-to-day operations are in compliance with contract, licensure, and Salvation Army standards; facilitates an emotional and physical environment conducive to enhancing positive staff and client morale and stabilization; provides proper instruction and training for Shelter staff to appropriately and efficiently carry out staff functions and job responsibilities.

Aldine Westfield Corps Community Center

Office Manager/ Bookkeeper – FT

Performs a combination of administrative and bookkeeping tasks for a local unit; applies fundamental bookkeeping knowledge and skills to varied bookkeeping tasks such as posting, checking entries, issuing checks, balancing accounts, and preparing financial reports for assigned accounts; prepares and maintains financial records in an accurate, complete, and timely manner; ensures the accomplishment of the various office tasks in the most efficient and effective manner possible; prepares various routine and special reports to keep the Officers abreast of progress; ensures office operations are in compliance with established departmental policies and procedures; completes all human resources functions for Corps; ensures all reports relating to the day-to-day operations are delivered in a timely manner to Houston Area Command, prepares and submits all requisitions to HAC for approval of purchases of equipment, furniture, and supplies as per The Salvation Army Minutes.

Program Aide – PT 

Primary Functions: Leads children’s activities at an after school program, including classroom training, tutoring, sports activities, bible study, computer programs, and specialized programs; prepares and serves children lunch and snacks; assists in leading field trips; maintains the cleanliness of the after school area; transports passengers in a Salvation Army vehicle.

Facilities Maintenance Supervisor – FT

Job Summary: Plans, schedules, supervises, and performs the day-to-day general maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and equipment; ensures all equipment remains in proper working order and compliance with standard operating procedures and safety standards; performs a variety of skilled maintenance work for buildings and grounds, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work as well as routine maintenance and repairs.
